Python developers community in the city of Barranquilla. Part of Python Colombia national ecosystem.

PyBAQ is part of Python Colombia, the national network of Python communities. This has been fundamental to my growth:

Belonging to a developer community gives you access to continuous interactions with people from different backgrounds. But PyBAQ is not isolated: it’s the local node of a national ecosystem.

National Connection: PyCon and Python Colombia

PyCon Colombia is the annual national event of the Python community (second weekend of February). I’ve assisted with logistics in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024.

Those events were crucial connection points:

I met people from Bogotá, Medellín, and other cities
That expanded my participation beyond Barranquilla
Subsequent contributions in Medellín (JamStack, Node Colombia) emerged from those national connections

These were not isolated contributions. They were natural extensions of the Python Colombia network.

Role at PyBAQ

I’m co-organizer of the technical team: website infrastructure maintenance, web architecture, complete end-to-end technical decisions. I also contribute with talks on testing and automation.
